In 2015 Anderson Financial Management Ltd chose Teenage Cancer Trust as their Nominated Charity.
Throughout the year, AFM Ltd took part in a number of fundraising initiatives and on 10th July 2015, Tony took part in the Guinness World Record attempt for the most tandem sky dives in 24 hours. Inspired by Stephen Sutton MBE and at the request of his family, Teenage Cancer Trust organised the huge world-record breaking skydiving event. Whilst the prospect of jumping out of an aeroplane filled Tony with more than a little nervousness, Tony was encouraged by the fact that his father did many parachute jumps in the 1st Guards Parachute Company.
“On the day of the Sky Dive, the sun shone brightly and the sky was virtually cloudless. Perfect conditions. Exiting the aircraft at 15,000 feet was one of the most exhilarating moments of my life, freefalling for nearly a whole minute before my instructor, Robert, tapped my arm and seconds later the parachute unfurled above me. We floated serenely back down and negotiated the landing without any problem. I was proud to have been part of a successful World Record bid, whilst raising money for such a great cause....... in fact I would have gone straight back up and jumped again, if I could!”

Friends, family and clients supported Tony’s skydive and generously donated to TCT. St. James's Place Foundation, also agreed to match every £1 we raise, with 50% going to Teenage Cancer Trust and 50% staying with the Foundation grants programme to go towards supporting other great causes.
Thank you to all of our friends and clients for your fantastic support and generosity.
